Shalom Kehilat Poriya Family and Friends,
The countless prayers for the Lord to release His
blessing of rain on this land have been heard and
answered! They continue to manifest in the rising
of the level of the Sea of Galilee. Since Thursday
of last week, the lake's level has risen more than 5
inches. The lake stands at 692.487 feet below sea
level. Since the beginning of the latest rains, the
Sea of Galilee has completed a rise of just over
33 inches, one of the sharpest rises in its recorded
history. The sea is currently 6.33 feet above its
lowest "red line" and about 7.45 feet below the top
"red line" that signals the lake is full. The lake already
is higher than it was at the end of last winter, and the
Water Authority expects it to be in good shape by
the time the rainy season ends.
Please see the attached photos that show the rise
of the lake from Dec. 24 until today.
The rainy season usually ends by April. Thank you
for your continued prayers that more rain will
fall in the land.
With many blessings,
Eric and Terri Morey
